Vitamin B12 also called Cobalamin and cyanocobalamin
is a red crystalline water soluble substance. Vitamin B12 contributes to the
formation of blood, neural function and the metabolism of fats and proteins.

Vitamin B12 is needed for maintaining a healthy appetite. Vitamin B12 is
essential in promoting growth in children and also plays a very big role in the
maintenance of our nervous systems. It is almost exclusively available in meat, eggs
and milk although some B12 is present in cereals. Vitamin B12 deficiency is
common amongst vegetarians.
Deficiency causes nervousness, irritability, bad muscular
coordination, muscular pain or discomfort, skin and hair disorders and anemia.
