Human Growth Hormone (HGH) has been described as the anti-ageing wonder drug of the century. HGH or Human Growth Hormone is one of the body's most complex hormones consisting of almost 200 amino acids. It is produced by the pituitary gland, located at the base of the brain. Our bodies produce many hormones with many functions. These can be compared to the coded messages that computers and other robotic devices use (the programming language) to achieve certain outcomes. In our bodies the hormones are the codes that control or regulate all activities ranging from the production of other hormones, digestion, chemical balance to nail or hair growth. The Human Growth Hormone (HGH) does exactly what its name suggests. It controls our growth and development. During adolescence the pituitary gland reaches by far its highest level of HGH excretion after which it reduces until, at age 90, it produces almost no HGH at all. After puberty to about age 35 levels of HGH remain relatively high but then declines. There is a strong correlation between the decline in Human Growth Hormone and ageing which has led to the conclusion that HGH also controls the ageing process. In fact, the theory is, that it is the lack of Human Growth Hormone that tells the body to allow itself to age. No one really knows why the pituitary gland slow its secretion rate of HGH sometime after 30. Initially it was assumed that the pituitary gland cannot maintain a high level of secretion indefinitely but this does not seem to be true. It is more likely that another hormone or process in the body controls this clock and once we learn more about that we may find an even better anti ageing solution. Initially this hormone could only be harvested from cadavers and as this cannot be done without permission it stands to reason that it was a very expensive substance. Fortunately this gruesome process is no longer required as HGH is now produced synthetically, but in its pure form it is still only available as an injection. It is also available in other forms like pills and sprays but these are yet to be tested and there are a lot of claims that HGH loses its effect if ingested. There have been several questions asked about synthetically produced HGH. Some claim that it is still not perfected but as some companies continue to market it one must assume that they believe that their products work. Only time will tell and the sad thing is that most people that are using HGH do so to slow time for themselves. So far we have been unable to find any credible claims that this very complex hormone can be administered orally. All the evidence we have seen leads us to believe that this very effective hormone can only be administered as an injection and regardless of the method of manufacture it appears that this complex hormone can not be produced as a tablet, capsule or any other ingestible form.
