General description and domicile:
Native to North America this rather attractive vine has trapped many an innocent
hiker into touching its leaves only to break out in the most amazing and
distressing itchy, painful rash that, instead of improving continues to get
worse, more painful and eventually causing the rash to ulcerate and suppurate.
Warning: Extreme care must be taken when handling this
plant as very little contact with Rhus Toxicodendron can be fatal.
Part used and extraction:
Leaves are used, harvested before the flowering season.
Remedy preparation:
Chopped and steeped in alcohol to obtain mother tincture
History:
The Native North Americans applied the sap of poison ivy to their arrow
heads.

Rhus Tox. works best for energetic occasionally malicious and shy people.
They are exceptionally restless and never sit still. They hate cold damp
weather.
When ill they become irritable and intolerant with others and their restlessness
constantly interrupts their rest and sleep. They seem unable to find a
comfortable position whether sitting or lying down.
When ill they fear the night because they know that they will not be able to lie
still for long enough to fall asleep and even if they do fall asleep it will be
restless and frequently interrupted. They cry easily for no reason that they can
think of.
