General description and domicile:
Not a lot is known or available on this Siberian mountain plant. It is a
small bush that hardly ever grows taller than a foot with deep green oval leaves
and spectacular pink flowers from spring to autumn. Although most common on the
slopes of the Alps and Pyrenees it is also found on mountains in Asia.
The leaves contain arburtin which is used for treating urinary tract ailments
and also for gout and rheumatism.
All species of Rhododendron are poisonous and should be handled
with care.
Part used and extraction:
The leaves are used, harvested in the flowering season.

Chopped and steeped in alcohol to obtain mother tincture
