General description and domicile:
Sodium carbonate is mined in areas where sea water evaporated many millions of
years ago. It is also produced chemically.
Sodium carbonate is an important chemical in industry and commerce where it is
best known as washing soda, a cleanser on its own and an ingredient in many
soaps and cleansers. As soda ash it is also extensively used in the ceramic
industry. As a medicine it was traditionally used for external skin problems
like eczema, rashes and burns.

Remedy profile:
Nat. Carb. people are very sensitive but maintain a facade of resilience and
strength, hiding long nurtured hurts. They appear cheerful and confident while
inside they feel overlooked, rejected and isolated.
Physically they are sensitive to sunlight and frequently suffer from weak
ankles.
This conflict between facade and reality rarely makes them ill but if they do
fall ill for any reason the continuous strain of maintaining the facade becomes
too much and overwhelms them. Then any mental or emotional strain is too much
and they tend to react by showing symptoms of physical collapse too.
Their hands and feet become cold, the have no energy at all, their digestive
system starts developing complications and in extreme circumstances the
cardiovascular system follows suit.
