General description and domicile:
Although it has been mined in the past most of the world's magnesium carbonate
is now created chemically. It is widely used in the building, paper and plastics
industries. Medicinally it is used as an antacid (I can remember that my mother
used "Milk of Magnesia" for almost anything from nausea to diarrhea or
constipation).
