General description and domicile:
Native to Eastern North America was widely used by Native Americans for
cuts, bruises, painful joints and muscles, period pains and more. This remedy
was adopted by early settlers and is still one of the most widely herbal remedy
in use today.
It is a tall shrub (up to 12 feet) with six inch long oval leaves. The branches
are very pliable and was used by Native Americans for bows although it is a
challenge to find a branch straight enough as they are normally crooked.

The bark of the braches and roots is used.

Chopped and steeped in alcohol to obtain mother tincture
