General description:
Potassium Hydrate is not used for medicinal purposes other than as a homeopathic
remedy. It is made by chemical process (equal parts of calcium hydroxide and
potassium bisulphate).
Slaked lime is used to make cement and plaster in the building industry as well
as a source o calcium in agriculture.
Causticum is caustic and astringent and should not be ingested in any form other
than a properly succussed homeopathic medicine.
Part used and extraction:
Freshly burnt lime is slaked and then mixed with an equal amount of
potassium bisulphate.
Remedy preparation:
Dissolved in distilled water to obtain mother tincture
History:
The remedy was discovered, developed and proved by Hahnemann in the early
1800s.

Causticum people are serious, sensitive, empathetic and easily disturbed by
injustice to others. They feel the suffering of others and are very susceptible
to prolonged grief. When happy they are very idealistic and optimistic, when
unhappy they rapidly fall into gloom.
They feel the cold very easily and can't stand being wet or in a draught. They
only enjoy the outdoors when it is warm and not too windy.
