Remedy preparation:
Triturated by grinding with lactose until water soluble to obtain mother tincture
History:
Once a major cure for syphilis this deadly poison commonly used as an
insecticide was the accidental cause of Napoleon's death (at the time arsenic
was commonly used in dyes and it is suspected that Napoleon dies from prolonged
exposure to the gas formed by humidity and the dye in his wallpaper). Arsenic,
in diluted form was also a popular treatment for most mental disorders, anemia
and gastric disorders as well as tonics for horses and other animals.
It is only in recent times that it has been realized that ingesting even small
quantities that may have no immediate side effects will over time accumulate in
the system and will then be fatal (something that Napoleon did not know).

Remedy profile:
Arsenic people are very organized, dislike chaos and clutter,
ambitious, neat and tidy. They are affectionate towards their family and very
caring, possibly to the point where this need to care and have everything just
right causes stress and fear for their own and families financial and physical
security. They have very strong and ordered beliefs which are hard to sway.
When they become ill they stress very easily. They are unable to maintain the
high level of organization they yearn for and the corresponding disorganization
becomes very chaotic and stressful for them, leading to exhaustion and black,
pessimistic moods and they become very dependant on their loved ones. Their fear
of dying, or just getting worse, becomes stronger, increasing the stress levels
all the time. Because of this their condition, mental and physical, deteriorates
very rapidly as they pass from trying to maintain their rigorous order despite
their condition to a sudden state of surrender.
An ill arsenic person looks the part with pale, drawn anxious features. They
complain of burning pains but easily feel the cold. To touch they feel cold and
often clammy although they can have raging fevers. They seem overwhelmed by the
symptoms often appearing a lot weaker than the condition warrants.
Respiratory ailments are asthmatic and breathless. Colds are accompanied by
burning, puffy eyes and burning, sneezing, watery nose. Coughs are dry at night
but mucusy in daytime.
Any urinary tract infection causes constant need to urinate without ever feeling
that it is enough, with a burning pain while urinating.
Any condition that causes exhaustion can be expected to happen very suddenly and
may be more profound.
Diarrhoea will be accompanied by burning pains, burning rectum and smelly
stools. Vomiting will cause a burning sensation.
