General description and domicile:
The common honey bee has supported humanity for thousands of years. It is not just the honey we use but also the wax, which is used in many applications ranging from furniture polish to ointments, Royal Jelly, which is widely used as a specialized nutritional supplement and Propolis, the resin collected by bees from the flower buds.

Part used and extraction:
Only the female worker bee has a sting. The sting (and sometimes the whole bee including the sting) is used.
