Botanical Name: Scrophularia Nodosa
Also Known As (other names): Rose noble, Throatwort, Kernelwort, Scrofula, Carpenter's square.

The figwort can be found in Britain and Europe.

The figwort is not a particularly spectacular plant that grows to about 3 ft. It is rhizomic and the rhizomes are harvested although some people also use the tender shoots of the plant. It has played a role in herbal medicine for the last thousand years.
