Naturally found from Asia to Eastern Africa this rather untidy large climbing
shrub, Embelia, has small white flowers that mature to very small,
peppercorn-sized berries. The berries are harvested and used. Embelia
berries is a very important medication in Ayurvedic medicine and has been used
for thousands of years.
