Acute Tonsillitis is characterised by severe sore throat, high temperature,
headaches and earaches, difficulty in swallowing and a general feeling of not
being well. Tonsillitis is an infection or inflammation of a tonsil (or
both). The tonsils are red and swollen and frequently have a rash of
yellow/white dots of bacterial infection.
