| Malaria Description:
malaria is a severe disease, spread by an Anopheles mosquito bite that is
infected with Plasmodium protozoa. It is also possible to contract the
disease from blood transfusions and contaminated needles. Symptoms are:
Chills and fevers, Pains, aches, anaemia. lethargy and vomiting. Not all
symptoms are always present. Malaria can recur for years going from a
sense of full recovery for a period to full symptoms again but it is normal for
subsequent bouts of Malaria to become less intense. In severe cases the
disease can be life threatening as it can affect many organs including the
brain.
