| Conjunctivitis Description:
Conjunctivitis as also called Pink Eye. Conjunctivitis is an
inflammation of the eye. More specifically it is and inflammation of the
conjunctiva and can be caused by a viral infection or bacterial infection. It
can also be caused by an allergic reaction in which a secondary bacterial
infection follows. The symptoms of conjunctivitis are: Red eyes, sticky,
thick discharge (often gluing the eye closed after sleep), blurry vision (from
constant discharge) and rarely itching. Conjunctivitis is normally not painful.
